1) Taco Truck
File this one under mains for your reception! Or, late-night bites if you really want your guests to feel like they’ve won the food lottery at your wedding. Who doesn’t love amazing eats from a taco truck? If you have a big guest list at your wedding and you decide to go the taco truck route for your reception dinner, talk to your vendor about limiting the number of offerings for the night. Food trucks typically work on walk-up order-taking systems, and nothing is worse than having hungry guests waiting all night for their dinner. Limiting the total number of offerings will have guests saying “this is so good, I got the steak tacos, what did you get”? In no time!
2) Ice Cream Truck
If you were lucky enough to grow up in a neighborhood where the sound of the ding in the summer meant that the “ice cream man” was on his way down your street, then you’ll love reliving those memories on your wedding day! How fun will it be to have your family members standing around an ice cream truck recounting all the times you yelled “stop” out the window as a child!?
Ice cream truck vendors will usually serve your guests in one of three ways. There are those who will scoop and serve their very own freshly handmade ice cream. Then you have your ice cream trucks that dish out pre-packaged popsicles and ice cream treats. Shout out to the ice cream sandwiches and drumsticks! And then there are ice cream trucks that are a mashup of both, giving your guests the option of choosing from your favorite packaged treat or a soft serve cone. Whichever way you scoop it, an ice cream truck will be a major crowd pleaser!
3) Espresso Cart
Who doesn’t love a post-cake or post-dessert espresso? When it’s time to get on the dance floor, the last thing you want is tired guests who are so stuffed they can barely move! A steaming hot espresso will perk them right up and have them ready to keep the dance floor lit! Espresso carts are typically an add-on vendor that will come to your venue. They’ll serve your guests much like a coffee kiosk at a shopping mall would. Your guests will be able to walk right up and request the flavored latte or espresso of their choice. Because who doesn’t want to hit the dance floor for a few more hours?
4) Cotton Candy Spinner
Cotton candy, candy floss, fairy floss. Call it what you like. This pillowy cloud-like confection spun out of colored sugar brings its own fun factor to your wedding reception! Having a cotton candy spinner (that’ll be your vendor’s official title!) at your wedding is a full-on sugary snack experience. Your guests will be able to watch their sugary treat being created for them, right in front of their eyes. Your guests will be gathered around this super cute cart chatting with each other about the last time they treated themselves to cotton candy, and how it brings back their childhood memories.

5) Snow Cones
Shaved ice flavored with tropical punch, cotton candy, bubble gum, and any other sickeningly sweet drizzle you can think of? Sign us up!! Snow cones and shaved ice vendors are a fun way to cool off for a summer wedding, especially if your guests will be outside in any capacity! You might get lucky and find a selection of independent vendors in your area that have a retro vibe that will sling some flavorful ice on your wedding day. Otherwise, if you want to uplevel the snow cone service at your wedding, talk to your vendor about creating a signature mashup flavor to offer your guests. Kinda like a signature cocktail, but much more family-friendly!

6) Cheeseburgers
Who doesn’t love a good old cheeseburger? A burger and fries are about as Americana as it gets and makes an amazing food truck food fantasy for your wedding guests! A burger truck is a great option for dinner at your wedding reception, and if want to be extra, you can ask the burger truck to pull up beside the taco truck! Not into burgers as the main course? They make a great dance floor snack, late-night fuel, or after-party offering.
7) Bubbly Bar
Have you ever seen a mobile bubbly bar? It’s the damn cutest thing on wheels! Your guests can stroll up, grab a glass and fill it to the brim with their choice of champagne or prosecco! These out-of-sight adorable little mobile bars make are perfect for serving up pre-ceremony cocktails at outdoor garden weddings. Or you can book a bubbly bar for that pop-clink feeling during your cocktail hour! If you do go with cocktail hour service, make sure to coordinate with your wedding photographer. This would typically be the time you are off taking your wedding portraits and we doubt you’d want to miss out on the fun of your mobile bubbly bar!
8) Fair Food
Ok, where are all of our fun, whimsical, child-at-heart couples? We were thinking of you when we added this one to the list! Call it fair food, or call it circus food, but we call it serious fun and heavy nostalgia!! Pretzels, popcorn, hotdogs, fried Oreos, funnel cakes… the sky is the limit when you decide on a fair food (or circus food!) truck at your wedding! These make fun bites for cocktail hour, amazing late-night bites, or even better after-party offerings!
9) Gelato Cart
A light frozen Italian treat that’s just as tasty as ice cream, but not as heavy! And no, we are not going to put the “great for summer weddings!” tag on this food cart. You can have your gelato and eat it to! Gelato carts are typically push carts so they can come inside your venue. Which means, yes, you can totally have them show up to your fall or winter wedding. If you want to break away from a traditional dessert table, adding a Gelato cart to your cake service is a vibe.
10) Local Favorites
Is your hometown known for a specific locally famous food? If you’re rocking a Jersey wedding, you can’t go wrong with serving your guests a Taylor ham egg and cheese sandwich. In Miami, we love our Cuban sandwiches and pastelitos! Our friends on the west coast love to finish out the night of their wedding when the In-N-Out truck rolls up to serve their guests some late-night bites. A summer wedding on the coast of Rhode Island practically requires a Del’s lemonade cart! If you want to rep your hometown on the day of your wedding, serving your guests local eats is the way to go!
